On Friday Oct 25th MVTB had a crew from SCORE AmeriCorps / Skagit VISTA join us for a special trail building session. Thank you to their group of volunteers. AmeriCorps is a program of the U.S. federal government engaging adults in intensive community service with the goal of "helping others and meeting critical needs in the community." Our members commit to 10.5-12 months of full-time service in helping meet these needs. The mission of SCORE AmeriCorps is to provide economic opportunity for disadvantaged individuals including but not limited to financial literacy, housing assistance, job training, and nutritional assistance of low-income individuals in Skagit County.
