Thanks to our incredible volunteers, the new trail connecting the restrooms at the main parking lot to the multi-use trail system is complete! But the work doesn’t stop there—now we’re shifting our focus to another important project at Little Mountain Park.
On October 19th 26th, we’re hosting a volunteer work session to repair several bridge crossings along the popular La-Z-Boy Trail. These bridges have seen a lot of use, and natural weathering from our rainforest-like conditions has taken its toll. By helping to restore these bridges, you’ll ensure safer and smoother crossings for hikers, bikers, and runners alike.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility! We can’t wait to see you out there (hopefully under a much friendlier sky).
Volunteer Details:
Date: Saturday, Oct. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 16
Time: 9 AM to 3 PM
Location: Main lower parking lot at Little Mountain Park
What to bring: Sturdy shoes or boots, gloves (if you have them), and lunch if staying for the whole session.
What’s provided: Water, light snacks, gloves (if needed), and all necessary tools.
No experience? No problem! Our experienced trail crew will be there to guide you through the process. Whether you can join for the full session or just part of the day, we welcome all the help we can get.
By volunteering, you’ll not only improve the trail but also help preserve Little Mountain Park for years to come.
We can’t wait to see you out on the trails!
Update: October Trail Work Session Moved to Saturday, October 26
Well, folks, it looks like Mother Nature has different plans for us! 🌧️ The weather forecast for October 19 is calling for a serious downpour—even by Pacific Northwest standards. While we love a little rain, the amount we’re expecting will make bridge repairs tricky (and a bit risky) with water running under the structures.
So, we’ve decided to reschedule the bridge repair session to Saturday, October 26. Same time, same place—just (hopefully) drier conditions!
New Date: October 26, 9 AM – 3 PM
Meeting Location: Lower parking lot at Little Mountain Park
We still need all hands on deck to get these bridges back in shape, and we’d love to see you there! The details remain the same—tools, water, and snacks are provided. Just bring sturdy shoes, gloves (if you have them), and a lunch if you plan to stay the whole day.
If you’ve already signed up, we’ll be emailing you directly about the new date. If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time to join us!
