We'd like to send out a special THANK YOU to the major donors who have contributed money and resources to trail building projects at Little Mountain Park. Without their support we would not be on track to complete our Nature Trail & Bridge projects this summer.

Birch Equipment and Mount Vernon Building Center provided discounts, as well as the following supporters for providing refreshments to out trail builders; Skagit Valley Food Co-Op (food), Starbucks Coffee (coffee), and Mount Vernon Haggen Foods (pastries).

Work Resumes on the Nature Trail

Our work resumes on the Nature Trail this weekend.

On Friday we start at 9:00 am, on Saturday at 10:00 am. A special thanks to all of you that came out over the long weekend. We hit our average turnout numbers, which we never believed was possible. Thank you! This coming weekend will be our last two sessions before we start work on the bridge. We need to get the trail to the bridge, we’ll need better than average turnouts both days. We hope you will join us this weekend.

Please bring your own lunches on Friday. But, on Saturday we're in for a real treat - Jenny & Jodie of the Skagit Valley Food Co-op have agreed to furnish lunch again. We thank you for your continued support.

To find us stay on Little Mountain Road, driving east beyond the Little Mountain Park entrance and beaver pond. You'll see us at the gravel piles on the right side of the road.

Memorial Day Trail Work Sessions

We had 6 workers on Friday and 15 on Saturday. This was an excellent turnout for a holiday weekend. The lead crew removing the duff is at the point where the trail turns east. At that point, we are 175' from the bridge site. The trail is completed about 75' back from that point. So we have about 250' left to complete. So, it looks like we are in good shape to start on the bridge on June 15. At that work session we will be splitting up the crew, some will continuing working on the trail and a few will work on the footings for the bridge.

Our work continues on the Nature Trail this weekend.

On Friday we start at 9:00 am, on Saturday we meet at 10:00 am. Unfortunately with the sessions falling on a long weekend we'll be missing a few key people. So if you're staying in town, and you've been thinking about coming out this would be the perfect time.
