We're very happy to have Mount Vernon Building Center as our sponsored group for our upcoming work session this Saturday, Jan 28th.

Stop in and see our promotional wheelbarrow at the front counter. We have a signup sheet there in case you'd like to join us this Saturday. We are finishing a new trail on the south side of Little Mountain named Ginny's Trail. We will be meeting at the top of the mountain at 10:00am. There will be fresh Haggen pastries and Starbucks coffee.

We will have delicious homemade soup provided at lunch.

Come on out to Little Mountain Park and volunteer with our friends at Kaptein’s Ace Hardware this Saturday, January 14th. Kaptein’s Ace Hardware is our first featured volunteer trail builders group of 2012. We are looking for more groups that would like to become featured volunteer groups. Please contact us if you are interested in having your group support sustainable trails in Mount Vernon.

The MVTB promotional wheelbarrow is currently in Kaptein’s Ace Hardware's showroom on Riverside Drive. Stop in and see it if you get the chance.

Happy New Year

We've had an amazing 2011, and we're going to start our 2012 build season with a bang. Kaptein's ACE Hardware's customers is going to be our first featured group next year. Their session will be our first build session of the year, Saturday January 14th.

We feel that having our display in local businesses will help raise community awareness. Something to think about, maybe your business would like to do the same. Please let us know. We're still tallying our volunteer hours for 2011, we know they're up but can't tell you how much yet. We're also fortunate to have received some very generous donations this year. You know who you are, thank you very much.

Our trail building year is coming to a close. If we have a good turnout for this next session we should be able to finish up the western end of our Southern Loop project. This will be the last trail building session at Little Mountain Park for 2011. We appreciate all the hard work our volunteers have done over the past year and hope to see some of you again this Saturday. We'll meet at 10:00am at the top of the mountain and, as always, we'll have hot Starbuck's coffee and fresh Haggen pastries. We will also be having a hot soup lunch at 12:30.
